All I can say is WOW. The castle one strikes me as the best, because the sand/artist even made it seems like the walls of the castle were cracked and broken and they added details like the bricks behind the veneer.

Those sand sculptures are some of the coolest things I've seen. All of the castles and houses are amazing.

Wow, those are amazing. I'd love to see the entire process for making one.

Ok, funny thing is that all those bottom pictures are taken at Harrison Hot Springs, Canada (where I live).
They are no less exciting EVERY year that I go to see them, and the photo's truly do not do these sculptures justice.
If you ever get the chance to go see them, DO IT! :D

It's amazing what extras these sculptors can do. Take a look at this link how beautiful the sand castles get when you also allow tiny pieces of paper to be used ...

I must say that every one of those sand sculptures are really quite spectacular. It's amazing what some people are capable of creating with something that most of us probably don't give much thought to.

OMG! I'd have such a difficult time being a judge! I am of a creative mind myself in florals, catering, staging, interior design but there is no match to the beauty and magnitude these sculptures offer! Congratulations All!!

Thanks Monique.(I lived in Chillwack, eons ago)

I taught art for the equivalent of 40 years. I still do wood sculpture.
I'm certainly impressed with this work... and am wondering when the people involved have time... to work?
May the competition continue.
